Timelines

Timelines about the the COVID-19 disease (“Wuhan pneumonia”) caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus (“Wuhan virus”) abound on the internet. But many do not include sources. This compilation from many different public sources starts with the first documented Covid-19 case in Wuhan, China on 17 Nov 2019, and includes events in China, WHO and CDC guidance and opinions, CDC / US administration actions, congressional actions, state/local actions, Democrat and media opinion.

These timelines include sources and details for each event to aid further research.

Timeline 1 – All events in one band. All events presented in chronological order.

Timeline 2 – Events grouped by entity. Includes all the events in Timeline 1 in expandable/collapsible groups. This makes it easier to see what a particular entity (“person”) was doing and saying and when, and compare that to another entity.

Timeline 3 – New York resistance. A subset of events showing what the Governor, Mayor, and NYC Health Commissioner were saying and doing after the 31 Jan 2020 declaration of a national health emergency through the early stages of the March outbreak in that state.

Timeline 4 – The early US response. A subset of events starting from notification by the Chinese CDC on 3 Jan 2020 through airport screening, the first Federal quarantine order in 50 years, declaration of a national health emergency, restrictions on travel from China, and the activation of US Military global pandemic response plans on 1Feb2020.
